i tried several times with rh9 but didnt have any luck. Even tried it with a vanilla kernel on rh9 and still no luck 8( the new fedora beta has something interesting though for a graphical boot. It is not anything super flashy and im not sure if it is based on 'bootsplash' or not, but it is a graphical progress bar that is displayed as the init process are run during boot. There is not much more than the progress bar at the moment (some text describing processes that are starting) but it seems to have potential!
