Our e1000's don't work even with 7.3's 2.4.18-3. Even using 7.3, I need
to update the kernel's e1000 driver. I hacked together a 7.3 install
disk with a newer e1000 module a while back, but I'd like to know if
there's an easier way to produce a 7.2 install initrd with a usable
kernel.
