Ah, forgetting my head next. Yes, I have both the PYTHONPATH
set as well as added the /usr/lib/anaconda-runtime in the
path.

Yes, it is installed.

This is getting weird (not to say frustrating), I compared the
8.0 version of the pkgorder with the one from 7.2, and diff
gave only a few lines which AFAIK do not handle the hashkey.

This I will do. The list will be quite long, currently it contains
495 packages, but I will focus on them once I get the pkgorder
working and ISO-images built.
