Mic using TRS or TRRS pin on laptop

I use Debian. And ‘alsamixer’ is what I always use for sound
settings. Here is my question. I am hoping to resolve it here.

When I plugin mic in TRRS socket of my laptop, the speaker goes on mute
and headphone comes alive. I expect to change only mic settings when I
plugin and not the speaker settings. How can I tell my laptop to use
internal speaker instead of headphone when I plugin just the mic.

I have tried TRS as well as TRRS pins.
