I use Debian. And ‘alsamixer’ is what I always use for sound settings. Here is my question. I am hoping to resolve it here. When I plugin mic in TRRS socket of my laptop, the speaker goes on mute and headphone comes alive. I expect to change only mic settings when I plugin and not the speaker settings. How can I tell my laptop to use internal speaker instead of headphone when I plugin just the mic. I have tried TRS as well as TRRS pins. --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- pankaj@deb01:~$ aplay -l **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC236 Analog [ALC236 Analog] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 7: HDMI 1 [HDMI 1] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 8: HDMI 2 [HDMI 2] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 9: HDMI 3 [HDMI 3] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 10: HDMI 4 [HDMI 4] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: Microphones [Blue Microphones], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio] Subdevices: 0/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list Alsa-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
