s/pdif output not working on Asus Xonar SE card

Hello, 
I have a new Asus Xonar SE card that I have just installed. The analog speaker jack works, but S/PDIF out does not work. I have tried fiddling with every setting in alsamixer and qasmixer. I have also run "iecset audio on" as suggested by the Arch wiki, and the output looked normal. I can't for the life of me figure this out. I am running Linux Mint and it has PulseAudio enabled. My sound specs are below ... I would love any suggestions!
One thing I don't understand is why the card is showing up as "USB" when it is a pci card.
