Hi Alan,

Thanks for the reply. I’m working on an embedded board which has 6 devices where 0-3 are playback and 4-6 are capture devices. Playback works fine but not recording. Whatever format I use I get an error saying as `unable to hw params` I tried plughw which also didn’t worked. I’m not sure where and how to debug this issue. 

I have a mono mic for recording and it took Mono. I also tried with 8bit but I get same error.
