Compile alsa-plugins with speexdsp included

Hi apols,

 

Not the best when it comes to compiling but trying to use the speex alsa-plugins

pi@raspberrypi:~/alsa-plugins-1.2.2 $ arecord -D mic

ALSA lib dlmisc.c:287:(snd1_dlobj_cache_get) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_speex.so ((null): /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_speex.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)

Very much me being dumb but I can not figure out how to enable the options for the above?
What is the option to include libasound_module_pcm_speex.so?
Any help would be much appreciated.
