Hello List, This is an update on my previous question. My goal is to successfully load a Device Tree Overlay which uses the McASP audio on the beaglebone green at runtime to modify it for my project. I can now load DTOs at runtime on Beaglebone Green(debian with kernel 4.14.108-ti-r113 booted from SD-card) via commenting "enable_uboot_overlays=1" in /boot/uEnv.txt, which gives me the slots file of the bone_capemgr in "/sys/devices/platform/bone_capemgr/slots". With "echo DTO-name > slots" as root, the "BB-I2C1" DTO can be loaded successfully, but the "BB-CTAG-SW-8CH" DTO cannot be loaded, which uses McASP like I want to do and is in the official beaglebone sources. I tried to find how to interpret the error messages I get from demesg when trying to load this DTO, but I got no useful hints. Can I get a pointer how to understand this demesg output? root@beaglebone:/sys/devices/platform/bone_capemgr# echo BB-CTAG-SW-8CH > slots bash: echo: write error: Invalid argument dmesg -wH output: [Aug 4 02:14] bone_capemgr bone_capemgr: part_number 'BB-CTAG-SW-8CH', version 'N/A' [ +0.000031] bone_capemgr bone_capemgr: slot #4: override [ +0.000014] bone_capemgr bone_capemgr: Using override eeprom data at slot 4 [ +0.000015] bone_capemgr bone_capemgr: slot #4: 'Override Board Name,00A0,Override Manuf,BB-CTAG-SW-8CH' [ +0.009153] OF: resolver: overlay phandle fixup failed: -22 [ +0.011567] bone_capemgr bone_capemgr: slot #4: Failed to resolve tree Regards, Manuel _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list Alsa-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
