Thanks for helping me look into it.

I've got three devices showing up - although one of them is my USB webcam. But I believe the output is saying two devices on the audio card (unless that subdevice info changes the meaning of "device 0" and "device 2")

card 0: SB [HDA ATI SB], device 0: ALC892 Analog [ALC892 Analog]

  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: SB [HDA ATI SB], device 2: ALC892 Alt Analog [ALC892 Alt Analog]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 2: camera [USB  Live camera], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio]
  Subdevices: 0/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
