Thanks for your help. I tested now various samplerates. Working: 48000 Hz, 96000 Hz, 192000 Hz Not working: 44100 Hz, 22050 Hz, 16000 Hz, 8000 Hz "Not working" means that aplay doesn't complain, but I can't hear anything.
