Bower's & Wilkins PX headphone - snd-usb-audio error

Hello list,

I've got a pair of Bower's & Wilkins PX headphones which can be connected via USB to play audio on it (this works under windows).

Under linux, with kernel 4.18.0-rc6, it seems that snd-usb-audio doesn't like the device:

usb 3-4: new full-speed USB device number 7 using xhci_hcd
usb 3-4: New USB device found, idVendor=19b5, idProduct=0021, bcdDevice=25.20
usb 3-4: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
usb 3-4: Product: PX USB
usb 3-4: Manufacturer: Bowers & Wilkins
usb 3-4: SerialNumber: ABCDEF0123456789
snd-usb-audio: probe of 3-4:1.0 failed with error -22
usb 3-4: 2:1: cannot get min/max values for control 2 (id 2)
snd-usb-audio: probe of 3-4:1.1 failed with error -22

I have found a reference to these headphones in sound/usb/quirks-table.h, so it seems to have worked at some point. However, as of now the headphones don't appear as an audio device. The problem seems to be a call to get_ctl_value, but that's all I could find out.

Any advice on how I could debug this further?

Best regards
Philipp
