Incidentally, I posted this on alsa-devel, but I had not posted it on this list: http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=6373811de293125e4e8c345c0c2d4a736c1fc2b8 However, that was with the f7g version of the BIOS, which is marked "beta". I went back to the latest non-beta BIOS (f6), which disabled the onboard video chipset. I left it disabled, and that has removed the Intel HDMI audio from the picture. Also, I just added a Soundblaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro so I could have optical SPDIF while getting this to work -- that worked literally "out of the box". With all the changes above, here's what I have now: http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=a7ddfb6d9d1df280921e4bcf41c862a6e799c983 I'll throw myself on the mercy of the list and the developers -- I have no idea what to do next to get the motherboard sound working. Any and all assistance greatly appreciated. :) -Scott On 03/01/2016 09:55 AM, Scott Doty wrote: > Perhaps I'm succumbing to a rookie maneuver, but I don't seem to be able > to find the git archive with the latest alsa. > > I'd like to work with that in getting my mobo to work (and indeed, maybe > my mobo works with the very latest code!). > > Where does one find the archive? > > Thank you. :) > > -Scott > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Site24x7 APM Insight: Get Deep Visibility into Application Performance APM + Mobile APM + RUM: Monitor 3 App instances at just $35/Month Monitor end-to-end web transactions and take corrective actions now Troubleshoot faster and improve end-user experience.
