Hi,

as Bruce seems to have the same problem as I do, I can state that at
least Debian Lenny which uses 1.0.16 worked out of the box on the same
hardware and test sample.

I used this image:

http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/archive/5.0.10-live/amd64/iso-cd/debian-live-5010-amd64-standard.iso

After boot, I tried this:

$ sudo apt-get install alsa-base alsa-utils
$ mount /dev/sdc /mnt # to mount the USB stick with the test sample
$ aplay /mnt/test_stereo.wav

Then I get working stereo playback with an AES32 card over AES3.

I might also try other Debian versions (squeeze, wheezy).

Regards,
Tino
