Hi! I'm trying to use a Boss rc-300 as an usb audio interface. I did it before onto an older kernel (3.2 I believe) using a patch found on gmame comments (dunno if i can post links...) and as the submitter said midi was not working, but duplex audio was ok. Now on newer kernels (tried 3.13 and 3.17) the device is showing in lsusb with more informations and its showing up in both aplay and amidi, but doesn't seem to work. dmesg says [ 331.619485] usb 1-1.2: new high-speed USB device number 4 using ehci-pci [ 331.713962] usb 1-1.2: New USB device found, idVendor=0582, idProduct=0138 [ 331.713970] usb 1-1.2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0 [ 331.713974] usb 1-1.2: Product: RC-300 [ 331.713977] usb 1-1.2: Manufacturer: BOSS [ 331.715085] snd-usb-audio: probe of 1-1.2:1.0 failed with error -5 aplay complains about it being 32 bits while its really 16 bits I think. aplay with plug doesn't complain but neither outputs any sound. amidi doesn't see any incoming message. I even patched a 3.13 with the old no midi patch but to no use. HELP! Thanks in advance.
