I can't get my old M-Audio Audiophile 2496 card to work on 3.17.3-1-ARCH kernel. dmesg: [ 4.378335] snd_ice1712 0000:05:01.0: invalid EEPROM (size = 255) [ 4.378386] snd_ice1712: probe of 0000:05:01.0 failed with error -5 kmod list: snd 73436 17 snd_ice1712,snd_usb_audio,snd_ac97_codec,snd_hwdep,snd_timer,snd_i2c,snd_pcm,snd_rawmidi,snd_usbmidi_lib,snd_hda_codec,snd_ak4xxx_adda,snd_hda_intel,snd_mpu401_uart,snd_seq_device,snd_cs8427 Can I overcome this or should I just get a different hardware, there were problems in the past with this module like no sound after suspend etc.. It's very outdated and I wonder if this is the end for this card?
