Configuring Alsa, buffer size

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi!
I'm having problems with buffer underruns. I understand that to counter
that, I should increase the buffer size. But I really don't understand
how to do that :(
I hoped I could just increase the number in some already existing
configuration, but that option doesn't appear in alsa.conf or anywhere
else on my installation.
Since I have only one sound card (like this:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B63rdrZtwIE9eWZfSFJ6ZkdqMFE
) and don't use any special audio equipment I think it should be simple.

Another thing, when I had tried to play with a config from the wiki,
after putting it on disk as ~/.asoundrc and running an application, it
just gave me an error (something about invalid values) - and I had no
idea what part of the config was actually wrong! Is there some tool that
helps with debugging the config files or something like that?

Thank you.
Neven
