That's odd since that one is listed right next to the sense-combo listing in the kernel source I'm using.

    {.id = ALC283_FIXUP_CHROME_BOOK, .name = "alc283-chrome"},
    {.id = ALC283_FIXUP_SENSE_COMBO_JACK, .name = "alc283-sense-combo"},

Also, changing it to sense-combo doesn't seem to show the correct results either.

There is no such model option.
The Chromebook option is called "alc283-dac-wcaps" or "alc283-sense-combo".
