USB ATSC/NTSC tuner card:

ALSA 1.0.21 works
ALSA 1.0.25 does not

arecord --device=hw:0,0 --channels=2 --format=S16_LE --rate=48000 --duration=30 /dev/null
arecord: main:654: audio open error: Invalid argument

All we did was update the ALSA drivers for the same kernel (2.6.33) and now we get this mysterious error when doing a snd_pcm_open call.

dmesg output doesn't seem to indicate a problem with loading things ...

and we have not changed any other settings in /etc. I have two systems side-by-side so I'm looking at them and comparing them against one another.

I couldn't see anything specifically in the changelogs since 1.0.25 that addressed this concern but I very well could have misinterpreted what I was reading.

Thoughts?
