Hi,

Do you know what can cause an issue with corb/rirb buffer reading ? I tried kernel 3.16+ to see if the situation did improve with the xonar phoebus. It didnt but I'm trying to see if I can narrow down the issue.
With single_cmd enabled probing codec works, and I even have some corrupted, very low volume sound (by default center is mapped to center and lfe to rear right) and using hda analyzer it looks like there is no mixer widget (I was expecting at least one).

Using the trace it looks like the corb/rirb, or at least rirb is non working, it always return -1 :

and using AZX_DCAPS_RIRB_DELAY | AZX_DCAPS_RIRB_PRE_DELAY cap combination doesnt fix anything.

They wouldn't know anything about the difference between the Windows and
Linux driver.  For that matter, neither would C-Media.

The model option affects only the codec, but that is not the problem
here.
