No sound in Fedora 20 for kernels 3.12.x 3.13.x and 3.14.x

I installed F20 just after it's release with XFCE as the desktop. I then 
upgrade all packages each weekend.
When the first 3.12.x kernel was installed the sound no longer worked.
All kernel upgrades since has resulted in the sound not working.
A reboot to the 3.11 kernel resulted in the sound working.
I searched the web for information to fix the problem but nothing 
resolved the problem.

I posted on the Fedora users lists and got a number of recommendations 
but none worked.
I reinstalled F20 and tested sound and it worked. I then upgraded all 
packages and rebooted and re-tested before I did any configuration 
changes but I still got no sound. I tested with aplay and a wav file.

I have tried using pulseaudio as well and that did not result in sound.

I am including the output  from alsa-info.sh.
