The aplay tool is for playing.  The --dump-hw-params option just prints
the parameters that are being used for playing.

You have two chips, the Intel ICH9, and the Conexant CX20561.
What are the contents of /proc/asound/card0/codec#0?

What is the output of "aplay -v -D hw:0 -f dat -r 192 /dev/zero"?
