Everything looks good up to this point.

But this looks quite bad. Did this happen when you were testing v2? Your
system probably still has the old kern.log files.

I'm fairly certain something got mixed up when you were applying the
patches.

If you don't get messages like
  3:1: resetting device after change 48000 -> 192000
your device never gets reset after sample rate changes, so the behaviour
should be just as bad as without the patches.
