Question: I am assuming I can make that change and redo the last make line (ie not all the configuration, etc). Is that a safe assumption? Comment: In case there was something else weird going on with pulse audio, I disabled its auto respawning feature by putting the following autospawn = no in ~/.pulse/client.conf, killed the pulse audio daemons, checked that they were really gone, and tried with Quod Libet instead of Guayadeque using instructions from http://www.head-fi.org/t/561961/bit-perfect-audio-from-linux to wit, I set the output pipeline to alsasink device=hw:1,0 consistent and incorrect behaviour there; first song played of a certain bit rate / bit depth is garbled; second is clear. Off to try Daniel's suggested change according to my interpretation of not running the either configuration process. -- Chris Hermansen · clhermansen@xxxxxxxxx C'est ma façon de parler. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
