I already recompiled my kernel and completely disabled OSS, hand edited /etc/asound.conf a dozen times, and even got mpd and my own media player sharing the sound card (thanks to dmix, because they have different UIDs) But for some reason, flash won't listen to the config. I'm on kernel version 3.3.8 Alsa-lib version: media-libs/alsa-lib-1.0.25-r1 distro: gentoo Google taught me how to edit my /etc/asound.conf to get dmix going, which solved two processes with different UIDs wanting to use the sound card at the same time. Is this a problem with flash or do I have a messed up config? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
