Hello list, I have encountered a problem that Skype automaticaly adjusts the wrong mixer control for microphone level: instead of the "Rear Mic Boost" it changes the "Front Mic Boost", which has no effect on the rear microphone. My setup: linux 3.4.8-1-ARCH, I am using the card 0, device 0 only. Output is stereo headset, input mono microphone - both in the rear plugs. $ aplay -l **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC892 Analog [ALC892 Analog] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 1: ALC892 Digital [ALC892 Digital] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 7: HDMI 1 [HDMI 1] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 Be it a bug in Skype or not, is there a workaround in ALSA? E.g. to intentionally swap the controls of rear and front mic boost? Other ideas? regards, Milan -- htpp://www.milan-knizek.net/ About linux and photography (Czech only) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
