Re: USB Card recording problems

Thanks for your reply. However, even if do not have any other device on
that port:

$ lsusb | grep Bus\ 001
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0020 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub
Bus 001 Device 007: ID 0582:0096 Roland Corp. EDIROL UA-1EX

It still says full speed.

However, I found, that my bluetooth dongle, which is connected to a
completely different Port on the other side of that computer, is
responsible. Even if it still shows full speed.

It seems, that while the mainboard claims 12 USB Ports, there are only
three usable busses - and if the card does not have exclusive access to
that particular bus, it won't record.
Maybe not exclusive, but USB1 may really be the problem - as it still
works when the midi interface is connected to the neighbour port. It
does not work, when keyboard or mouse are attached. Seconds your claim.

Even the USB3 ports are on one of those busses. USB sucks, I always knew
it. Now its offficial.

I guess I'll go for an el cheapo PCI-USB Card just for the edirol. Still
have a PCI slot free.

Thanks again, I did not think about USB1. However, what am I supposed to
see, when the card is in USB2 Mode? High Speed?
