I could probably write the necessary code with the documentation, but reverse engineering is a lot of work. It may be easier to get a new soundcard... what sound/video card has working drivers for 8 channel PCM over HDMI? Do any support streaming HD-Master audio?

Yes (with NDA).

The HDMI stuff is implemented with a separate chip and completely
undocumented.
