I'm one step further. I got the "Device or resource busy" error because I use the wrong slave.pcm in my .asoundrc: pcm.ice1712 { type hw card 0 device 0 } # envy24 channel 1 only pcm.channel1 { type plug ttable.0.0 1 slave.pcm ice1712 } The first definition is not necessary because there is already a default configuration in /usr/share/alsa/cards/ICE1724.conf with dsnoop # default with dmix & dsnoop ICE1724.pcm.default { @args [ CARD ] @args.CARD { type string } type asym playback.pcm { type plug slave.pcm { @func concat strings [ "dmix:" $CARD ",FORMAT=S32_LE" ] } } capture.pcm { type plug slave.pcm { @func concat strings [ "dsnoop:" $CARD ",FORMAT=S32_LE" ] } } } Now I changed my .asoundrc to # envy24 channel 1 only pcm.mono_channel1 { type plug ttable.0.0 1 slave.pcm "default:0" } # envy24 channel 2 only pcm.mono_channel2 { type plug ttable.0.1 1 slave.pcm "default:0" } and so on. But I still cannot record channels beside the first one. On the rest I a recording with no sound. Am I using the right ttable definitions?
