Re: HDMI with more than 2ch ?

I have an acer aspir aspire r3610 and right now I use the spdif out, which works, but I want to use HDMI, because of other things that run through the TV. After that via SPDIF out to my receiver.

I did my homework (at last). Follow the thread named "ALSA multichannel
through HDMI" and you'll see it's only stereo for Radeon cards. Note
that 5.1 passthrough should still work OK.
I don't know about other HDMI chips.
Takashi apparently wanted to ping someone at AMD. I hope it'll result in
something sooner than later.
