Volume maximum volume is nearly inaudible w/ Intel HDA onboard.

This is on a fairly new Intel DH55HC Motherboard http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/motherboards/DH55HC/DH55HC-overview.htm

The specs on that page claim that the audio codec is ALC888S, not ALC888 as reported by alsa.

output of alsa-info.sh is here:
 http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=58a53e4363d6d24a32998d8239ab3af0738a396d

i've fully maxed every option in alsamixer and furthermore tried forcing all of the different intel_hda models that seemed even remotely relevant but none of them were able to get any more volume out of it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Andre
