Can someone help me. My microphone in Ubuntu does not work. It did work at one point, then I ran one of the updates and then it stopped working. I tried to get it to work again, but with no luck.

A strange thing now is that whenever Ubuntu updates, it says I have an update for the ALSA drivers always, i.e. it doesn't seem to properly update them.
