I have an X-Fi Titanium that I'm using with S/PDIF input and output, and I've found what I hope is an ALSA bug and not a hardware design flaw. The problem is that it appears to be impossible to do capture on the "S/PDIF-i" control without unmuting it. Surely this can't be the intended behavior. It would render the card useless for real-time audio processing applications, since the input signal is always sent straight to the output. This is my software configuration - Debian Squeeze - Linux 2.6.32 (Debian Linux 2.6.32-15) - alsa-lib 1.0.23 Best regards, Thor Kristoffersen ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sell apps to millions through the Intel(R) Atom(Tm) Developer Program Be part of this innovative community and reach millions of netbook users worldwide.
