Hello I have the problem that since recently all controls from my usb mics have disappeared and all my capture for my sblive (emu10k1) has disappeared from alsamixer. It shows Mic, but no "volumegraph", as below: amixer still works. alsamixer -c2: Card: USB Device 0x471:0x311 | | Chip: USB Mixer | | View: Playback [Capture] All | | Item: Mic | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | < Mic > | I can control it with amixer, and all alsa programs work as they should (they detect the usb mics with correct alsa names and my sblive capture alsa inputs) mio@mws:~% amixer -c2 Simple mixer control 'Mic',0 Capabilities: cvolume cvolume-joined cswitch cswitch-joined penum Capture channels: Mono Limits: Capture 0 - 3 Mono: Capture 2 [67%] [50.00dB] [on] mio@mws:~% amixer -c2 set 'Mic' volume 100 Simple mixer control 'Mic',0 Capabilities: cvolume cvolume-joined cswitch cswitch-joined penum Capture channels: Mono Limits: Capture 0 - 3 Mono: Capture 3 [100%] [60.00dB] [on] I don't have an asoundrc file My alsa modules loaded: mio@mws:~% lsmod|grep snd snd_emu10k1x 18308 0 snd_rtctimer 6560 0 snd_usb_audio 73728 0 snd_usb_lib 16896 1 snd_usb_audio snd_emu10k1_synth 9728 0 snd_emux_synth 32000 1 snd_emu10k1_synth snd_seq_virmidi 9088 1 snd_emux_synth snd_seq_midi_emul 8960 1 snd_emux_synth snd_emu10k1 119712 2 snd_emu10k1_synth snd_ac97_codec 91552 2 snd_emu10k1x,snd_emu10k1 ac97_bus 6016 1 snd_ac97_codec snd_pcm_oss 38400 1 snd_mixer_oss 16896 1 snd_pcm_oss snd_pcm 64900 5 snd_emu10k1x,snd_usb_audio,snd_emu10k1,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_oss snd_page_alloc 10888 3 snd_emu10k1x,snd_emu10k1,snd_pcm snd_util_mem 7296 2 snd_emux_synth,snd_emu10k1 snd_hwdep 10244 3 snd_usb_audio,snd_emux_synth,snd_emu10k1 snd_seq_oss 29824 0 snd_seq_midi 9856 0 snd_rawmidi 21120 5 snd_emu10k1x,snd_usb_lib,snd_seq_virmidi,snd_emu10k1,snd_seq_midi snd_seq_midi_event 9600 3 snd_seq_virmidi,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi snd_seq_device 9224 6 snd_emu10k1_synth,snd_emux_synth,snd_emu10k1,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi,snd_rawmidi snd_seq 44336 8 snd_emux_synth,snd_seq_virmidi,snd_seq_midi_emul,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi,snd_seq_midi_event snd_timer 20100 4 snd_rtctimer,snd_emu10k1,snd_pcm,snd_seq snd 43268 15 snd_emu10k1x,snd_usb_audio,snd_emux_synth,snd_seq_virmidi,snd_emu10k1,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_hwdep,snd_seq_oss,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq_device,snd_seq,snd_timer usbcore 104964 10 usb_storage,usbhid,libusual,pwc,ohci_hcd,snd_usb_audio,snd_usb_lib,ehci_hcd,uhci_hcd I don't have a blacklist alsa in modprobe.dk/blacklist either :-) System: Debian Lenny (dist-upgraded with security updates) mio@mws:~% dpkg -l|grep alsa ii alsa-base 1.0.17.dfsg-4 ALSA driver configuration files ii alsa-oss 1.0.15-1 ALSA wrapper for OSS applications ii alsa-tools 1.0.16-2 Console based ALSA utilities for specific ha ii alsa-utils 1.0.16-2 ALSA utilities ii gstreamer0.10-alsa 0.10.19-2 GStreamer plugin for ALSA ii libsdl1.2debian-alsa 1.2.14-6 Simple DirectMedia Layer (with X11 and ALSA ii libsox-fmt-alsa 14.0.1-2+b1 SoX alsa format I/O library ii libwine-alsa 1.0.1-1 Windows API implementation - ALSA sound modu ii tuxguitar-alsa 1.0.dak-1 tuxguitar plugin for sound playback using AL Any idea what could be wrong?
