Hi Lenson,

Make sure you are sending on the same MIDI channel that your kurzweil is set to
receive. You may be able to set the Kurzweil to receive on OMNI (which means all
channels). Each MIDI device is different so I can't tell you how to do this for
your device.

I hope this doesn't sound like I'm "teaching you how to suck eggs"... (something
you already know).. but this is a common mistake with MIDI.

Alternatively you could try a kind of physical loop back test.

Plug a MIDI cable from the OUT of the delta to the MIDI IN.. Using a sequencer
like Rosegarden or MusE, have some MIDI material to play going out from one track
and set the other track to record.. (of course make sure that is set to record
from the MIDI ports on the delta and is not set to record a specific channel but
all).. If you get MIDI writing on the second track then you know the delta is
working correctly.

and watch the "MIDI out" LED blink, but my MIDI keyboard doesn't receive it, or
send it. It's pretty clearly the piano that is the problem- still working on
figuring out how to fix it. I suspect once I have the piano fixed, I'll have a
working system.

to try it out on the Linux station.

can probably send it and it can doso under Linux. It shouldn't be an issue, my
card is running here since 2002, first under a 2.4 kernel and now under ever
changing linux kernels (2.6) with their built-in ALSA. I only had problems once,
but that was sound related. Still, younever know.
