Buy this audiophile 2496 from M-audio, and face a problem in envy24control analog volume tab : there's no ADC "fader", when boot on the kernel compiled at home. This is 2.6.33.1-rt11 (and not my first kernel .config !), distro is based on Debian Lenny with some SID. snd_ice1712 is in kernel, not as module. Everything is fine, except no ADC level control, so every INsound is too high and distorded, if keep a good signal/noise ratio on the source given to the card...
If boot on the "generic" Debian kernel it's ok, ADC controls are seen and work. But with generic kernel : real time...
So, I think some snd_??? is missing in home_made_kernel, and here is the question for you List :
What are the elements to incorporate in a kernel to have a M-audio audiophile 2496 working good and plenty (with all controls) ??
OR, maybe have to compile snd_ice1712 as a module maybe ?
Many thanks for the help !
