VT1818S not working

I have not been able to get the VT1818S working.

I've got an ASUS M4A77D, running Fedora 12. I built 1.0.22 versions of
alsa-driver (kernel modules) alsa-utils and alsa-lib. The modules load and
i believe it is snd_hda_codec_via that supports this chip. I've blacklisted
snd_hda_intel. system-config-soundcard still detects hda audio using the
snd_hda_intel module and sees no pcm outputs. There is no sound output.

Any suggestions how to get this to work or any info from anyone that has gotten
it to work would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark
