Hi

Can someone give me an ensight into what's happening here, I've no sound and get the following when testing:

speaker-test 1.0.13

Playback device is default
Stream parameters are 48000Hz, S16_LE, 1 channels
Using 16 octaves of pink noise
ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:864:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
Playback open error: -2,No such file or directory
ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:864:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
Playback open error: -2,No such file or directory

Playback open error: -2,No such file or directory
ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:864:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave

The other weird thing is the lack of volume and pcm controls in alsamixer!

I'm running kernel 2.6.29. Alsa 1.0.13 on kde 3.5. Sound card is Intel HD.
