Hello I recently bought a Acer Aspire 8940G which after some testing I found using "options snd-hda-intel model=acer-aspire-8930g" to enable the built in mic and use of full 5.1 surround sound. Instead of just stereo sound. What info about this laptop can I give and who would I give it to, in order to have future releases of Alsa auto detect this setup and use the right model information.
