This is not a subdevice but the card.

These are not subdevices but devices.

The "hw" plugin takes several parameters: the card, the device, and the
subdevice.  "hw:HD2" specifies only the card; the default device is
usually 0.

If you separate the parameters with a comma, like "hw:HD2,0", yes.
