I got alsa-drivers install which gave me aloop. Great. I've tried scores of .asoundrc's with no luck building one that would allow an aplay or mplayer music stream to be hear-able during a sip/skype conversation. I would really really appreciate being told what i have missed. I studied though still don't quite get the flow. I'm wishing to use only alsa. (not jack, pulse etc.) would I use multi and aloop? So, I play the music through card0 the hda-intel, I multi that in with the aloop card2 and hear it all out card1 the usb headset. I think I'm gonna need some help as I've been at it for 3 weeks and have been unlucky I guess. aplay -l **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: ALC1200 Analog [ALC1200 Analog] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 1: ALC1200 Digital [ALC1200 Digital] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 6: Si3054 Modem [Si3054 Modem] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: default [C-Media USB Headphone Set ], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 2: Loopback [Loopback], device 0: Loopback PCM [Loopback PCM] Subdevices: 8/8 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 Subdevice #1: subdevice #1 Subdevice #2: subdevice #2 Subdevice #3: subdevice #3 Subdevice #4: subdevice #4 Subdevice #5: subdevice #5 Subdevice #6: subdevice #6 Subdevice #7: subdevice #7 card 2: Loopback [Loopback], device 1: Loopback PCM [Loopback PCM] Subdevices: 8/8 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 Subdevice #1: subdevice #1 Subdevice #2: subdevice #2 Subdevice #3: subdevice #3 Subdevice #4: subdevice #4 Subdevice #5: subdevice #5 Subdevice #6: subdevice #6 Subdevice #7: subdevice #7 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
