firmware error after system standby

Hi,
when returning from system standby the system hangs every 2-3 seconds
because it tries to load the firmware of my sound device (EMU 1820 with
an external audio dock). The dock of the emu 1820 is turned off after
system standby (the LEDs are off).

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04. I downloaded the alsa-firmware-1.0.20.tar.gz and
it compiled and installed without any errors.

Here the error message from /var/log/messages:

Aug 16 14:58:38 pillerich kernel: [171313.418094] emu1010: Loading Audio
Dock Firmware file failed, reg=0x7f

It seems that the kernel tries to load the firmware without turning on
the dock before.

Is there any solution round here for this problem?
Is it possible to power on the dock?

Thanks!

Regards
Pillerich
