/var/log/messages reports
--------------
hda-intel: IRQ timing workaround is activated for card #0. Suggest a
bigger bdl_pos_adj.

Sound card 0

00:07.0 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP72XE/MCP72P/MCP78U/MCP78S
High Definition Audio (rev a1)

Sound card 1 (emu10k1 driver)
------------
01:08.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB0400 Audigy2 Value

For Software Defined Radio (SDR) use, card 1 is used to provide an
interface to the radio and sound card 0 the speakers/microphone.
Under XP 96/192 K/s sample_rate works, but under Linux the application
reports "No Response" and "Interrupts 0".

Are there any changes I could make to hda_intel.c or elsewhere to extend
the sample_rate or is 48K/s an inherent driver limit?
Using the kernel alsa driver with openSUSE 11.2 Milestone 2.
