Sounds fanatstic. Yes, it sports one 12Au7 tube; haven't tried any
other tubes beside the Elecro-Harmonix that it came with. Has been
stable as one one could ask for with Linux, MPD, and the Alix server. 
The MSRP is very pricey for a NOS DAC. So, I picked it used for song on 
Audiogon.
