Hi list,

It is 2 sound cards into my box, the in-build as first sound card and an
audiophile 192 as second sound card (index=1).

I get the following with amixer:

I found that all the ? into amixer output are annoying. The number of playback
and capture channels into is also wrong. This card do have only 2 mono inputs
(in left and in right) and 4 mono outputs (out left and right, and monitor out
left and right).

In alsa documentation (ALSA-Configuration.txt), it is a model option for the
ice1724 module but no model string for the audiophile 192). I try with and
without the following string into /etc/modprobe.d/alsa:

options snd-ice1724 model=audiophile

but get the same result with amixer and alsamixer.

Last issue is that amixer, as well than alsamixer does show only one pcm
output volume control. It control the 4 output ports.

With jackd, I can get only 2 playback ports. The 2 monitor playback ports are
missing and they also get the same signal than the 2 main playback ports.

Is it possible, at least with jack, to separate the main playback ports from
the monitor playback ports? I guess that it will imply to get separated
controls at the alsa level, but how?

Last, is it possible to do software routing of the outputs/inputs like in
windows or mac with this card?

Cheers,
Dominique
