Hi folks, I tried Linux 2.6.29.1 on an Acer Aspire Revo. Problem: By default there is no sound at all, neither via the hdmi connection, nor on the headphone. In dmesg I found this: [ 20.375073] HDA Intel 0000:00:08.0: PCI INT A -> Link[LAZA] -> GSI 22 (level, low) -> IRQ 22 [ 20.386838] HDA Intel 0000:00:08.0: setting latency timer to 64 [ 20.647038] hda_codec: Unknown model for ALC662, trying auto-probe from BIOS... Using "model=something" for snd-hda-intel I figured out that the 3stack-dig 3stack-6ch 3stack-6ch-dig 6stack-dig give me sound on the headphone, but not on hdmi. There are special acer-* models for other chipsets, but not for ALC662. Do you think it would be possible to add the missing model description for ALC662? I would be glad to help. Regards Harri
