Hi Geoffrey,

If I read your comments correctly,

"[If] Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version
[is not] 1.0.19, that's your [HDMI] problem",

the above statement would be a little disingenuous:

We all know that with the _latest_ kernel, 2.6.29.1,
the /proc/asound/version is 1.0.18a (i.e. not 1.0.19).

In other words, any Intel guy still has this problem.

A couple of BTW's:
- It would have been nice for somebody to have replied to by post,
"No HDMI sound on Intel G35/ICH9R board" of 2009-03-25
which dealt with the same problem.

- I used the word "disingenuous" in fun. I like the word
a lot (for some reason) and I've been trying to sneak it in
any conversation whenever even remotely applicable.
Hope you didn't take it the wrong way.
If you did, my sincere apologies.

Best wishes,
-- Alex
