Usb interface

Hi everyone, I'm having a hard time getting my Tascam us-1641 to work at all. I'm on kernel 2.6.27.7-9-pae. Lsusb returns with a list showing that the Tascam us-1641 is recognized as ID 0644:8017 TEAC Corp., so it is recognized by the system. Qjackctl does not recognize the interface at all though. To my understanding, all usb audio devices should work, no? If anybody could clear this up for me I'd really appreciate it.

I'm also willing to help out in anyway I can to the development of this interface. The Tascam us-1641 is very similar to the Tascam us-122, us-224, and us-428; which are all supported under snd-usb-usx2y. This leads me to think that the us-1641 shouldn't be that hard to add to that list... My email is soundprizm@xxxxxxxxx if anyone would like to discuss this matter.

Thanks,
Donnie
