hda-intel ALC272 & dmix issue

Hello,
My card info is located at
http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=d6bbe91bcecbd84f4f9b689871a7fe208c5d9440
This is the sound card that equips all Samsung NC10 netbooks, by theway.
Pulseaudio has been uninstalled and completely deactivated.
The big issue that I have is that dmix simply doesn't work; I can playsound with one application, but trying to have a second application usesound will fail all the time.
For example, if I start mplayer while an application is already usingthe sound, I get this:
[AO_ALSA] alsa-lib: pcm_hw.c:1321:(snd_pcm_hw_open) open /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p failed: Device or resource busy[AO_ALSA] alsa-lib: pcm_dmix.c:1008:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave[AO_ALSA] Playback open error: Device or resource busyFailed to initialize audio driver 'alsa'Could not open/initialize audio device -> no sound.
Here's the part of my kernel config dedicated to sound (if notmentioned, anything else is NOT set):
CONFIG_SOUND=mCONFIG_SND=mCONFIG_SND_TIMER=mCONFIG_SND_PCM=mCONFIG_SND_DYNAMIC_MINORS=yCONFIG_SND_VMASTER=yCONFIG_SND_DRIVERS=yCONFIG_SND_PCI=yCONFIG_SND_HDA_INTEL=mCONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_REALTEK=y
You may notice that I have not selected any OSS option - I don't haveany apps relying on it anyway.
What is exactly the issue? Is it due to hardware limitation, the newrealtek patch for ALC272, or a broken alsa setup?
As well, why don't I get any PCM control in alsamixer?
Thank you.
