Re: Very faint sound on Dell Latitude E6500

I have the Latitude E6500 and it works fine right out of the box with
gentoo 2.6.27 kernel and the alsa that came with the kernel (1.1.17?)

With the internal speakers, it is loud and easy to hear. With
headphones plugged in, the volume leaves a little to be desired, but
it is usable. HDMI audio output (DisplayPort) is not yet working for
me.
