Oh I absolutely agree that it's not in any sense not right here in 
alsa-user or anything; it's just that on the JACK list you'll have many 
JACK users (basically?) all of whom will be using ALSA while here on the 
ALSA list you have ALSA users many/most of whom do not use JACK :-/

Just trying to maximize effectiveness... don't believe I've encountered 
JACK users among the ones who sometimes give answers here.
